Audio/Video transcriptions from CDs/Mini Disc and CD-Roms
We provide transcriptions of sound files saved on CDs/Mini Disc and CD-Roms, it is important that all audio files are saved in one track, and if multiple tracks are saved in a CD/MiniDisc or CD-Rom, a clear marking should indicate the files that are to be transcribed, a label attached should display the description of each track.
WAV & MP3 formats of CDs and CD-Roms.
Please read the guidelines for preparing digital files
If a CD-Rom has multiple files, we will provide a transcript of each file separately unless instructions clearly do not specify the requirement, charges for each transcript will be billed separately based on the length of a file
Example: If a CD-ROM submitted consists of 3 MP3 files, and would be labeled as “Moore.mp3”, “Juliet.mp3”, “Rick.mp3”, the transcription charges will be billed for three files based on the length of each file, as an example Moore.mp3 would be for 18 minutes, Juliet.mp3 = 21 minutes and Rick.mp3= 27 minutes, charges thus billed will be for three transcriptions first for 18 minutes, next for 21 minutes and finally the third one for 27 minutes.
Charges applicable for Long CD-ROMs, CDs/Mini Disc
An extra US$ 15.00 for every ½ hour will be billed for single tapes or files that are longer in excess of 2 hours. In order to save on this charge, audio should be split into three portions if for example a single tape or DVD is of 180 minutes duration. Each Disc should be of 60 minute duration.
